Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now OnestiThe name refers to the Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Gheorghi Romania). She was first gymnast to score a perfect 10 at an Olympic occasion. Bela Karalyi discovered Comaneci when she was six. Later, she would become Romania's gymnastics coach. Comaneci was the first to compete for time in the 1969 national junior championships, placing 13th. The following year she became champion. She won three golds in her first event which was a junior Olympic meet in 1972. It was for communist bloc countries. In 1973 and 1974, she became the all-around junior champion. She took home four gold medals and one silver awards in the first competition of her senior level, held in 1975. This was her first time she had competed as an adult. In 1976, she became the first female to complete a reverse double salo on the parallel bar that was uneven as part of her demount. She took home the trophy at the American Cup, held in New York City. Carol Marie Wayne is a American citizen who was born on September 6, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. Carol ventured into the entertainment business in her teens. When she was a young girl Carol was an ice figure skater on the show Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. They featured staged ice skating spectacles.
