Emily Irene VanCamp, a Canadian actor and actress is known for playing the lead on a number of TV shows as well as for her outstanding performances in films. The popularity of her is shared by the world of Canadian as well as American television. Emily started acting when she was 12 after she had a visit with her elder sister Katie in one of Katie's movies. After discovering her enthusiasm for the acting world Emily decided to enroll in classes to learn about it and started auditioning. Her first audition was for a couple of ads, and was soon selected for Are You Afraid Of The Dark A Canadian horror series for children. It was just only one scene and without dialogue. When she was 15 years old, Emily got her first big break as she was part of the WB series Glory Days. Emily, who is also an artist and ballerina, was named by Teen magazine as one the most talented actresses under the age of 20. Maxim ranked her 51st on their Hot 100 of 2014.
